RESOLUTIONS FOR FIRST
READING:

AUTHORIZING
HEALTH CARE BENEFITS FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS. THE ADDITION OF
THIS BENEFIT WILL BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH ORC REQUIREMENTS AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Chester Gloyd moved, seconded by
Gayle Blankenship, to hold the First Reading of the
resolution. All votes were yea. After the reading by title
only, Chester Gloyd moved, seconded by Gayle Blankenship, to
accept the reading. All votes were yea.

TO RE-ESTABLISH
THE FEMA FUND FOR THE VILLAGE OF ASHVILLE TO RECEIVE
ADDITIONAL PAYMENTS AND APPROPRIATING THE SAME FOR
DISTRIBUTION TO THE ORIGINATING FUNDS AND MAKING
SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS TO RETURN THE REIMBURSEMENTS TO
THE PROPER EXPENSE ACCOUNTS IN THOSE FUNDS, AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY. Gayle Blankenship moved, seconded by Chester
Gloyd, to hold the First Reading of the resolution. All
votes were yea. After the reading by title only, Chester
Gloyd moved, seconded by Gayle Blankenship, to accept the
reading. All votes were yea. Barbara Hopper moved,
seconded by Chester Gloyd, to suspend the rules of council
and waive the Second and Third Reading of the resolution.
All votes were yea. Chester Gloyd moved, seconded by Gayle
Blankenship, to adopt the resolution. All votes were yea.
The Clerk assigned Number 2006-04.

RESOLUTION FOR SECOND
READING:

TO APPROVE THE
PRELIMINARY PLAT FOR SUBURBAN VILLAGE. Chester Gloyd moved,
seconded by Gayle Blankenship, to hold the Second Reading of
the resolution. All votes were yea. After the reading by
title only, Chester Gloyd moved, seconded by Gayle
Blankenship, to accept the reading. All votes were yea.
Chester Gloyd moved, seconded by Gayle Blankenship, to
suspend the rules of council and waive the Third Reading of
the resolution. All votes were yea. Chester Gloyd moved,
seconded by Gayle Blankenship, to adopt the resolution. All
votes were yea. The Clerk assigned Number 2006-05.
MAYOR’S REPORT . . . President Pro-Tem stated that the annual
Poppy sale has been scheduled for May 19th and 20th.
CLERK-FISCAL OFFICER’S REPORT . . . None
COUNCIL MEMBER COMMENTS:

Barbara Hopper
requested all to read the current OML news She read a prepared
statement concerning the budget and difficulty in balancing this
year and thanked Mayor Wise, Fiscal Officer Nelson Embrey and
the Finance Committee for all their hard work on the budget.

Gayle Blankenship
requested all to be thinking about where additional revenue
could come from next year and expressed her apology to the Tax
Administrator for the lack of communication in the cutting of
her budget.

Keith Moore stated he
hoped the Mayor was feeling better and would be
returning soon.
